Depart from Home
Board your internation flight today. Many flights will depart in the evening with arrival into Rio the following morning.

Nov 26

Arrival - Corcovado
Upon arrival at the airport transfer to our hotel the Ipanema Plaza located on Ipanema beach. The morning is free for you to rest and relax and get acquainted with your surroundings. This afternoon we will visit Sugar Loaf Mountain. You will take a breath-taking cable car ride to the first stop at Urca Mountain which stands at 721 feet. From there you will walk to the other side of the mountain to take the next cable car to Sugar Loaf Mountain which stands at 1,295 feet. As the sun begins to set, there will be some leisure time at the top of the mountain before returning to ground level by the cable car. This time of day is considered by many the best time to visit the mountain. With spectacular views of the sun setting behind Corcovado Mountain, the views are unforgettable. This evening we will host a welcome dinner so that we get better acquainted with our new traveling companions. Meals: B, D.

Tour of Rio - Free Afternoon
After breakfast we discover some of the historical sights of the city with our half day tour of Rio and Corcovado including the opportunity to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue. Upon departure, a 2-mile, 25-minute train ride will take you through the lush Tijuca Forest to the station on the top of the mountain. We then proceed to visit the National Historical Museum and see the November 15 square, the royal palace, Candelaria Church and São Bento monetary. Meandering through the narrow cobblestone streets, you will be surrounded by beautiful Portuguese architecture along the bustling streets of downtown. Your afternoon is free to relax on the beach or perhaps engage in a little retail therapy! Meals: B.

Free Day in Rio - Rio Gay Night
After breakfast, you will have a free day to take advantage of the city. Relax on one of the many beaches as you soak up the sun, enjoy some of the fabulous shopping or visit one of the art museums or cultural centers. For the more adventurous type, hang gliding is a popular activity. This evening we'll meet in the lobby of the hotel and then head out on our guided gay night tour this Gay Mecca. Meals: B.

End of Tour or Extend to Iguazu Falls
Today is the end of our Rio Tour. You are free to make your return flight for anytime today or join us on our trip to the Iguazu Falls! Meals: B.

Nov 29

Iguazu Falls
We transfer to the airport today and head to Iguazu falls. The mighty Iguazu Falls are the widest waterfalls in the world, made up of 275 individual falls that form a semicircle that stretches 1.6 miles. Viewing the amazing Iguazu Falls from the Brazilian side offers unforgettable panoramic views. As you are staying at the Tropical Das Cataratas Hotel, the only hotel located inside the national park, you will have easy access to the waterfalls. This evening we enjoy a Brazilian feast of a dinner at a local restaurant in downtown Iguazu. Meals: B, D.

Half Day Tour of Argentinean Falls with Gran Aventura Safari
After crossing the border into Argentina for this awe-inspiring tour, you will enter the Iguazu National Park, home to approximately 70% of Iguazu Falls. Walk along raised metal walkways above the water to the Devil's Throat Falls, the largest and most impressive of the 245 total waterfalls. The walkway traverses the waters and ends just before the drop off point for Devil's Throat. A rush of adrenaline pumps through your veins as you not only see the falls up close, but feel the power of the rushing falls, and oftentimes the sprays of the water as well. After we board boats for an exciting adventure to see the falls up close. After the boat ride, you will board open jeeps for a ride through the forest. Meals: B.

Arrival to Buenos Aires
Arrive in Buenos Aires. If you are joining us from our pre-tour trip to Iguazu Falls we will transfer to our hotel, the famous Axel Hotel. If you are joining us for the first time today please make your way to our hotel. This evening we host a welcome Tango dinner so that we can all get better acquainted with one another. Meals: D.

Buenos Aires
This morning we head out and find out why Buenos Aires is called the Paris of the Americas. This European-style city is a vibrant metropolis full of life. After our guided tour we return to our hotel where the rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore Buenos Aires at your own pace.Meals: B.

Dec 3

Buenos Aires - Gaucho Tour
Today we become Gaucho's as we head out on our full day tour to a local estancia. Spend some time on horseback and learn the tricks of the locals. Our tour includes lunch and then we return back to our hotel where we will have time to freshen up. This evening we hit the town for dinner and watch a tango show! Meals: B, L.

Buenos Aires: Free Day
Today is free for your to explore Buenos Aires on your own. Your tour guide will have lots of information on where to go, what to do. This evening we gather for our Gay Night Tour of this steamy metropolis! Meals: B.

Dec 6

El Calafate
This morning we embark on a full day tour including visiting the Moreno Glacier with some mini-trekking. Board our boat and cross the Brazo Rico, which will bring us to the Glacier. Upon arrival your guide will give you some instructions on how to walk on the glacier. Once you are equipped with crampons, we set off and explore the blue colored glacial ice. Afterwards a boxed lunch we drive into the National Park arriving at the Moreno pasarells. A must for all visitors to Argentina is a visit to the Glacier Perito Moreno in the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. It forms part of the Patagonian Continental Ice Field from which 13 glaciers descend on the Atlantic side to flow into the Viedma and Argentino lakes. The Perito Moreno glacier, 5 km wide and 80 mts. high above Argentino Lake, is one of the few in the world which still advances, forming a wall and containing the Brazo Rico waters. This evening we will host a farewell dinner for all our adventurers! Meals: B, D.

Rio:Ipanema Plaza Hotel (5 star) - Located on Ipanema beach. This hotel is the premier hotel for the GLBT traveler. The hotel is the closest hotel to the gay beach. This boutique style hotel has a rooftop swimming pool and fitness centre with some of the best views. Iguazu Falls:Tropical Hotel (4 star) - The tropical is the only hotel located within the national park. With wonderful views of the falls, large rooms, terraces, vintage furniture and hammocks you will feel like you have stepped back in time to the traditional comforts of a colonial-style establishment. Buenos Aires:Axel Hotel (4 star+) - Located in San Telmo, where history, bohemian-chic and the gay scene mix, let go and be captivated by the Axel Hotel Buenos Aires - a cosmopolitan and enticing space that stimulates the senses. Visas:
Both US and Canadian passport holders require visas for travel to Brazil. To enter Brazil, any foreigner must have a passport, an international vaccination certificate (if applicable) and a visa issued by a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. A yellow fever vaccination certificate is requested if the applicant traveled within the last 90 days to: Peru, Ecuador, Columbia and many African nations. Travelers from the US, Canada and most European nations do not need visas to enter Argentina.

Shots and Immunizations:

Transportation:

Currency and Money Issues:
The currency in Brazil is the Real. The US dollar is widely accepted. Credit cards are widely accepted in Rio, but less so outside major cities. In small towns, ATMsare readily available throughout Rio. You may exchange travelers checks at your hotel or at currency exchange offices
